As many of you may know, I was the "famous 5th president of America. Originally, my term was called "Era Of Good Feeling" because a Boston newspaper said that and the name stuck. The name was probably because of my great popularity and my neutrality. I began my term by making a tour of New England. Although this was supposed to be the "Era of Good Feeling", not everything goes smoothly. The Civil War stared eventually and I had to admit to myself that Missouri was a slave state thus making me sign the Missouri Compromise in 1820 which made Missouri a slave state and Maine a free state. I really don't know what got into me, usually I am a great supporter of free states, but this time, I took no public position. My most famous and best sucess was with foreign affairs. My most famous act was the Monroe Doctrine. South America had won its freedom from Spain and I wanted to ensure that they had no problem with Europeans so I made the Monroe Doctrine.
